Past Events

Family Movie Night.  On November 10, 2011, the BHEF presented FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT at Coman Hill. Over 50 families came out to enjoy pizza, snacks and a movie played on advanced multi-media equipment donated by the Byram Hills Education Foundation. Special thanks to Principal Carol Fisher and staff at Coman Hill for helping with this fun-filled night.

 

2011 Spring Gala - "A Magical Night at the Oasis" honors Byram Hills School District for 50 years of education excellence
On May 13, 2011, the Byram Hills Education Foundation hosted its 17th annual fundraising event at the Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase, NY. The event, which honored the Byram Hills School District on 50 years of education excellence, was an enormous success, attracting nearly 300 attendees and other business supporters.

The magical evening included silent and live auctions, a Chanel Bag raffle, music from the High School Jazz Ensemble, demonstrations of recent Foundation grants, interaction between teachers nad parents, and a video display of many previously funded BHEF grants. Thank you to all who attended.

2010 Spring Gala – “Spring Forward… Let’s Grow Together”
On April 30, 2010 the Byram Hills Education Foundation hosted our 16th annual fundraising event at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester in White Plains. The event was an enormous success, attracting more than 300 supporters.

The beautiful evening included silent and live auctions, an ipad raffle, music from the High School Jazz Ensemble, demonstrations from the Robotics Club and of SMART Tables™, interaction between teachers and parents, and a video display of many of the previously funded BHEF grants. Thank you to all who attended.
 

2010 Go for the Green – 2nd Annual Golf Outing
On Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Tamarack Country Club, Greenwich, CT, the BHEF held its second annual golf outing. Cash and other prizes were awarded for various competitions, including the hole-in-one contest and a million-dollar shootout putting contest. The event raised over $10,000.

2009 “Speedway Spectacular” raises more than $150,000
On April 29, 2009 the Byram Hills Education Foundation hosted our 15th annual fundraising event, “Speedway Spectacular,” at Grand Prix New York in Mount Kisco. The event was an enormous success, attracting 300 supporters. In this time of economic uncertainty, support of our children’s education is even more important. The approval in April for funding more than $245,000 in grants for the coming school year added to the celebratory mood of the evening. BHEF has now funded $2.5 million in grants since its inception in 1994.

The evening included friendly competition on the racetrack, at the silent auction tables, and for the Mercedes convertible, music from the High School Jazz Ensemble, interaction between teachers and parents, and a video display of many of the previously funded BHEF grants. Thank you to all who attended.

 

Hole-in-One Competition a huge success!
On June 8, 2009 the BHEF held its first annual Hole-in-One Competition at Tamarack Country Club in Greenwich, CT. We had 50 participants and the event raised $12,000. There was much friendly competition and a good time was had by all. We offer hearty congratulations to our winners:
