Let’s Compose Our Own H.C.C. School Song: This grant provides $8,200 for the creation of a school song for the H. C. Crittenden Middle School. A musician and professional composer will work with the band, chorus, and orchestra students to compose a school song.
Table Tennis: This grant provides $4,254 for the purchase of eleven table tennis tables (and paddles and balls) to enable table tennis to be added as a unit in regular physical education.

Sustainability Education: This grant provides $33,408 to enable three teams of teachers to participate with approximately six to ten other Westchester school districts to design interdisciplinary units of study that address a democratic society, global economy, and sustainable future.
Books on CD Library: This grant provides for $5,189.42 to establish a "Books on CD Library" for the use of select 7th grade students. The library would include 20 portable CD players and cases, and 20 CD copies of three of the class novels.
Grammar for the Real World: This grant provides for $3,736.86 to purchase the "Grammar for the Real World" software package with unlimited network licenses from National School Products to include activities for identifying parts of speech, correct verb usage, identifying common errors, proper punctuation and capitalization, identifying sentence fragments and structures, and subject/verb agreement.

Enhancements to Wampus Science Curriculum: $9,864: This grant funds the purchase of electronic data collection probes and scopes for the Wampus Science curriculum, enabling students to collect various data (e.g., motion, pH, moisture, and temperature), download and graph the data for analysis, and record still images of the data;
Upgrades to the Wampus Library: $9,740: This grant funds the purchase of 200 books on CD and acquisition of listening centers so that teachers can use this audio collection in their classrooms;
Lexia Reading Upgrade at Wampus: $6,000: This grant provides a web-based upgrade to the Lexia: Strategies for Older Students software to help Wampus students to improve their reading and spelling skills;

Sustainability Education at Wampus: This grant provides $51,900 to enable six teams of Wampus teachers to participate with approximately ten other Westchester school districts to design interdisciplinary units of study that address a democratic society, global economy, and sustainable future. The current grant facilitates the development of a consistent and cohesive curriculum for Grades 3, 4, and 5 that will provide the foundational skills for HCC students.

Here's the Thing: Single Object Still Lifes: This grant provides $2,300 to pay one-half of the funds for a visiting poet who will work with third grade students in conjunction with their visit to Katonah Museum of Art.
ETA Cuisenaire VersaTiles: This grant provides $6,598.57 to purchase Cuisenaire VersaTile labs for each of the ten Wampus Grade 5 homerooms and the PRIDE class. Teachers will be able to differentiate math lessons and help students develop critical thinking skills.
